<p>The little known Acai berry is jam packed with goodness and contains essential fatty acids, amino acids and the highest concentration of anti-oxidants than any other food.</p>
<p>No wonder that the Acai berry &#8211; (pronounced ah-sigh-ee) has been titled one of the most powerful and nutritious foods in the world &#8211; not bad for a small blue berry.</p>
<p>The Acai berry grows wild and abundantly at the top of the Euterpe Oleracea, a native tree of the Brazilian Amazon and Central American tropical forest in the flood plains.</p>
<p>The only draw back with the Acai berry that I can see is that it is not readily available in most supermarkets. This is wholly due to the fact that the Acai has a very short shelf life and also the period they are harvested in, keeping the price of the fresh berry quite high.</p>
<p>So with the Acai&#8217;s popularity increasing as its good health benefits become more widely known, other forms are easily obtainable from reputable health stores and chemists in freeze dried, capsules, tablets, juice and pulp form.</p>
<p>Anti-oxidants are renowned for combating the effects of premature ageing and with the Acai berry&#8217;s remarkable concentration, really does help. In fact the berry contains 10 times more anti-oxidants than red grapes and between 10 &#8211; 30 times more of the good anthocyanins contained in red wine.</p>

<p>There are many products available in the field of natural health . Pick up a book, surf online, educate yourself about the right foods for your health. I did, and cut my stress level by 50%; reduced my blood pressure down to 120/70, when under stress it was 150/95.</p>
<p>Not bad for middle age. Natural health is about finding ways to be healthy. With natural health nutrition, like say, Thai Food , you get the extra benefit of giving your body all the best there is from nature, which is a great feeling, and reward when you experience the difference, and ask yourself, how come I did not do this along time ago. What an energy booster indeed.</p>
<p>You will also find good nutrition leads to good health. I would get the typical once a year cold, like most people. Now I might get a cold, over 2 year periods . That should say something for good healthy nutrition. I do not believe there is a magic pill or fix all solution, but this certainly made a great change for me, and established a constant platform for my overall health.</p>
<p>You will experience the new you and will be proud of the achievements you will have from taking care of yourself. Now, no promises, but my weight is stable at 180lbs, exactly the same as when I was 18 years, when body building. I was usually around 200lbs., under hi stress working conditions. I am not outlining a diet plan, in fact the things I am mentioning worked for me regarding health overall.</p>
<p>The drop in weight actually happened as a result of better eating habits, an adjustment to things that helped, like the natural supplements, and Thai food in general, and reduction in obvious things that do not help. I knew with a stressful job, lots of traveling, something had to be adjusted, or shifted a bit. I even cut coffee down to 2 cups a day, I did not need 6, come on that is crazy, what was I thinking ?</p>
<p>So one noticeable thing I really enjoy, is the boost in energy for my age. It did take more than that, and I am going to give you a super important tip. Like anything, take small steps, and you will meet your goals. So here is the super tip that worked for me; simply get off the Dairy Products.</p>
<p>I have traveled to so many countries; with all types of foods, and certainly the western foods are spreading everywhere. So from experience alone, think about my tips to you.</p>
<p>Tip number two, not only do I use natural supplements for many reasons, here is a tip that really jump started me : go try Thai food, at a local restaurant.</p>
<p>This is an experience that will jump start your health in general. The reason I say Thai food, is simply there are so many types, you will find something you like, that is why Thai restaurants are so popular everywhere, world wide. And they have unique spices, and sauces that seem to please many people, offering new flavors, less saturated fats.</p>
<p>I did move to Thailand, so an expert in the foods section, and I have tried them all country wide. Believe me, you may have heard, how spicy Thai Food is, but actually there are in fact so many things to choose from, you will find something healthy, natural, and satisfying in all aspects.</p>
<p>That was tip no two, go out and try it, you will be surprised. Typically you will not find cheese in Asian dishes, however you may find coconut, or sweet milk, and similar things to sort out when you order food.</p>
<p>A third , but important tip, something I do every morning, and what an energy booster, I drink 12 oz. of grape juice per day. It beats coffee, but I still like my morning cup, but the juice really gives me a morning boost in my diet. Ok, that is tip no. three, simply try different things that work for you, that you enjoy, and watch out for the pizzas. Cutback on cheese, milk, ice cream. Select your food in moderate quantities.</p>
<p>I hope you found this as valuable information, based on my own personal experiences. Being middle age, time and health become more sensitive in life, and if you are truly out to improve you health, just take a few tips for starters. A slight shift in your nutrition can really improve your overall health. Get started today, its never to late!</p>

Being equipped with the knowledge of how to make healthier choices at fast food eateries is key to getting the most out of a dining possibility that is convenient, inexpensive and truly speedy.</p>
<p>Hamburger Heaven</p>
<p>A single hamburger at a fast food restaurant is pretty reasonable. The McDonald&#8217;s plain &#8216;ole hamburger with its signature onions contains 250 calories with a reasonable saturated fat count and decent serving of protein.</p>
<p>Eliminating the calorie laden sauce from your burger cuts way down on the fat content. Use mustard instead.</p>
<p>Skip the slice of cheese on your Wendy&#8217;s Jr would be one example. Cheeseburger Deluxe and save 40 calories. Eliminating the mayo takes off a good twenty-five calories. Use mustard &#8211; it tastes great and is healthy too. Want to save carbs and calories regarding your healthy fast food selections? Eat your burger on half-a-bun and save 60 calories. All together, the 125-calorie cut still allows you to savor the taste of bacon and juicy hamburger accompanied by nutritious tomatoes and lettuce.</p>
<p>Choose the Whopper Jr over the Whopper and eat slower. without mayo (290 calories) tastes just as good as its 510-calorie cousin.</p>
<p>Chicken Delight</p>
<p>With all of the Crispy Chicken Sandwiches and Chicken Nuggets lining the fast food strip, it&#8217;s hard to pass on the spicy blend of seasonings that tickle the tongue.</p>
<p>Once again, the real reason you order a chicken sandwich is to savor the crispy coating, so why waste calories on the bun, which takes up 120 calories of the 340-calorie sandwich? Some people eat the chicken completely without bun, while others only use half.</p>
<p>At McDonald&#8217;s, the Honey Mustard Snack Wrap with Grilled Chicken is a sandwich offering the second lowest number of calories on the menu with 260. A four-piece Chicken Nuggets offers only 170 calories. In order to reduce the number of calories associated with healthy fast food chicken choices, pay attention to your sauces, as a Creamy Ranch Sauce runs 200 calories alone.</p>
<p>Pizza, Pizza</p>
<p>Scan the menus of popular chains, such as Pizza Hut, and you will learn about healthy fast food choices, such as the Thin-n-Crispy selections, which offers less bread and crust.</p>
<p>To create a healthier pizza meal, eliminate the meat toppings and load up on popular veggie creations, including onions, olives, peppers, and jalapenos.</p>
<p>Pizza Hut also offers &#8220;Fit-n-Delicious&#8221; pizzas, where the diced red tomato, mushroom, and jalapeno selection provides 150-calorie slices.</p>
<p>Additional Healthy Fast Food</p>
<p>Often overlooked as a fast food restaurant, Subway is a great way to stick with a healthy meal plan. Some of the best selections include tons of vegetables and lean chicken. My personal favorite is the 1/2 sub daily special, on honey oat bread, spicy mustard and loaded with every veggie in the place. What a taste explosion and it&#8217;s so healthy.</p>
<p>Overall, the continuous pressure to lead a healthier lifestyle has encouraged numerous eateries to bring lower calorie food choices to the forefront. Today, popular healthy fast food menu items include the likes of Chicken Garden Salads, Strawberry-Flavored Applesauce, 2% Milk, Bacon Ranch Salad, Apple Dippers, and Fruit-n-Yogurt Parfait.</p>

<p>If you include any two of the food groups mentioned in this article, you could live out your life in glowing good health, at least nutritionally. There are many other foods that could fit into this group, but according to the world&#8217;s great diets, such as the Mediterranean and Japanese diets, to name just two, these foods are a common denominator, consumed by the healthiest people worldwide and are readily available.</p>
<p>The first food in this super group is definitely cold-water seafood, specifically salmon, sardines and tuna. These fishes are extremely rich in the fatty acids DHA and EPA Omega 3, which for one thing is essential for optimal brain health. The brain is about 60% fat. The membranes of neurons, specialized brain cells that form the nucleus for all thought and communication are composed of two layers of fatty acid molecules. Fatty Omegas are used to build and protect neurons, keeping the brain well lubed and running at peak performance.</p>
<p>Also, fatty omegas have been shown to control the bad cholesterols in the blood stream, aiding in cardiovascular health. There are other numerous benefits, far too many to list in an article.</p>
<p>The next group is Nuts, such as walnuts, peanuts, macadamias and most other nuts. Nuts are loaded with Omega fatty acids as well as phytonutrients, needed for cellular health and metabolism. Just 5 small handfuls of nuts per week, especially walnuts, have been shown to improve cholesterol levels from 15% to over 40%. That beats most drugs and it&#8217;s safer too.</p>
<p>The Berry family, especially blueberries, are extremely high in vitamins and antioxidants, antioxidants being essential in controlling free radicals, nasty little compounds that eventually destroy cell walls, contributing to aging and a whole host of illnesses. Berries are also high in water and low in calories, making them a great choice for your waistline.</p>
<p>Whole Grains are definitely in the super food category. You&#8217;ve probably heard the old adage that &#8220;Bread is the staff of Life&#8221;? It&#8217;s not hard to see why as whole grains are excellent sources of B vitamins as well as E, folic acid, magnesium, iron, fiber and antioxidants, even more so than some fruits and vegetables. Whole wheat, brown rice, wild rice and popcorn, yes popcorn, are good examples of whole grains.</p>
<p>Legumes or Beans are nutritional powerhouses in every sense. If you think about it, beans are seeds, containing the genetic code and all of the chemicals and nutrients to produce a plant. To start, beans are loaded with high quality protein and amino acids with a low caloric count. Toss in B vitamins, folate, magnesium, potassium and most other trace minerals and large amounts of fiber as well as hundreds of phytonutrients and you may have the super food A list with beans alone.</p>
<p>A quick note to vegans. Traditionally, the best sources of Amino acids, full spectrum, along with Omega acids and protein have been animal products. But if you combine a grain, corn for instance along with a legume, peas for example, you will get high quality proteins without the cholesterol as well as the valuable Omegas and full range of Antioxidants. To your health!</p>

Most people find this prospect hard to swallow, and give up quickly on ever reaching perfect health and fitness. It takes too much time, effort and energy to buy, prepare, and devour that much produce, and who can guzzle that much water every day without craving some kind of flavor or enhancement?</p>
<p>The good news is that there are now some very beneficial high fiber foods and health drinks, which are concentrated, so that small amounts help you reach those powerful fiber and water amounts. You won&#8217;t find these concentrated health foods and drinks on the shelves at your local grocery store, and certainly not in the refrigerator section of the convenience store.
